Products
- All Rudge & Kent products are handmade to order using natural hardwoods.
- Natural variations in wood grain, tone, and texture are part of the material’s character and are not considered defects.
- Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly due to the bespoke, handcrafted nature of our products.
- We reserve the right to make minor design adjustments that do not materially affect the overall style or function.
Orders & Payments
The following are excluded from this guarantee:
- Orders are confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received.
- Payment terms will be specified on your quotation or invoice.
- Once work begins, orders cannot be cancelled without written agreement from Rudge & Kent.
- All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Lead Times
- Lead times will be confirmed at the point of order. As every piece is handcrafted, timings may vary.
- Delays caused by events outside our control (e.g. material shortages, transport delays, or extreme weather) do not constitute grounds for cancellation but will be communicated promptly.
Delivery & Collection
- Orders can be collected from our Cotswolds workshop or delivered by arrangement.
- Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that access routes are suitable for delivery.
- Products should be inspected immediately upon receipt. Any damage or discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours accompanied by photos to sales@rudgeandkent.com.
- Risk passes to the customer once items are delivered or collected.
Finishing & Painting
- Unless otherwise stated, all Rudge & Kent cabinets are supplied ready to paint or finish.
- We can recommend paint brands, finishes, and primers, but final colour application is the customer’s responsibility.
- Finishing and painting should be completed in a clean, dry, indoor environment following the provided care guidance.
- Painted or finished items are non-returnable once altered.
Installation
- Rudge & Kent does not provide installation services.
- Installation should be carried out by a competent professional following the measurements and guidance supplied.
- We are not liable for issues arising from incorrect fitting, misuse, or poor installation conditions (e.g. damp walls, uneven floors).
Warranty
- Rudge & Kent provides a 3-year guarantee on cabinetry manufactured by us, covering major defects in materials and workmanship.
- This excludes: normal wear, changes in wood colour, movement due to humidity, and damage caused by misuse or improper installation.
- For full details, please refer to our Guarantee Policy.
- Appliances, hardware, and accessories carry the manufacturer’s own warranties.
Returns & Cancellations
- As our items are custom-made to order, they are not eligible for return or refund unless faulty or misdescribed.
- Faults must be reported within 7 days of delivery and supported by photographic evidence.
- If accepted, Rudge & Kent will repair or replace the defective part in accordance with our Guarantee Policy.
- Refunds, where agreed, will be processed using the original payment method within 14 working days.
Care & Maintenance
- Cabinetry should be stored in dry, ventilated conditions prior to installation.
- Painted finishes should be cleaned only with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Avoid exposure to excessive moisture, heat, or direct sunlight to preserve finish and structure.
