Rudge & Kent Guarantee Policy

Our Commitment

At Rudge & Kent, we take immense pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every piece we create. Our cabinetry is built to last, and we guarantee that all cabinets and furniture supplied by Rudge & Kent will be free from significant defects in materials and workmanship (excluding natural variations in hardwood) for a period of 3 years from the date of delivery.

Scope of Guarantee

This guarantee applies under the following conditions:

  1. It covers cabinetry and furniture items manufactured and supplied directly by Rudge & Kent Ltd.
    Separate manufacturer warranties apply to any third-party components such as appliances, hinges, runners, taps, and lighting.
  2. The guarantee is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
  3. It applies solely to items used in domestic environments for personal use, not for commercial or business premises.
  4. It applies to products used in the environment for which they were designed (for example, kitchen cabinets used in a kitchen, not a garage or outdoor structure).
  5. The guarantee covers products purchased and used within the United Kingdom.

What Is Not Covered

The following are excluded from this guarantee:

  1. Products not manufactured by Rudge & Kent, including appliances, sinks, taps, and worktops.
  2. Damage caused by incorrect installation, improper use, poor maintenance, or failure to follow care guidelines.
  3. Damage resulting from external or environmental factors beyond our control, including but not limited to: fire, flood, damp, leaks, extreme temperatures, pests, vandalism, or Acts of God.
  4. Normal wear and tear, including natural movement of timber, changes in colour, or surface finish deterioration over time.
  5. Damage caused by alterations, adjustments, or repairs undertaken by anyone other than Rudge & Kent Ltd.
  6. Damage caused during or after removal, relocation, or refitting of cabinetry.
  7. Damage caused by poor storage conditions after delivery or installation.
  8. Damage caused by pets, impact, or misuse.
  9. Timber worktops are specifically excluded from this warranty.

We may request photographic evidence or arrange an inspection. If we determine that the issue falls within the terms of this guarantee, Rudge & Kent will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component or item.

Please note:

Rudge & Kent will not cover costs associated with removal, transport, or installation of repaired or replaced parts.

Customers are responsible for the removal and reinstallation of any items.

Replacements must be collected from our workshop or designated distributor.

Inspections and Validity

Failure to allow a Rudge & Kent representative to inspect the item in question may result in the claim being void.
Any repaired or replaced components will remain covered only for the remainder of the original guarantee period.

General Terms

This guarantee applies only to products supplied by Rudge & Kent Ltd and registered to the original purchaser.

Guarantees for appliances or other third-party products must be registered directly with their manufacturers.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

This guarantee is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
